Trinamool Congress leader Shreya Pandey surprised investigators by appearing a day early before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Sona Pappu-linked syndicate case at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake. The examination of digital devices revealed her involvement, although she claimed to have voluntarily presented herself without receiving any summons for Monday.

Shreya, daughter of former state minister Sadhan Pandey, was summoned for questioning on Tuesday by the ED. Prior to her appearance, the ED had interrogated Kalyan Shukla, a close associate of Shreya, and discovered documents related to land fraud at his residence. Businessman Joy Kamdar, who had been arrested earlier, had connections with both Shreya and Sona Pappu.

Sona Pappu, also known as Biswajit Poddar, faced charges of land grabbing, extortion, and intimidation, operating multiple syndicates in south Kolkata. After being named in the Rabindra Sarovar clashes, he went into hiding but was later arrested by the ED. The investigation also led to the seizure of cash, a luxury vehicle, and property documents from his residence.
