Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the state’s rapid development pace, positioning it as a key player in the Northeast. He stressed the government’s commitment to preserving and developing religious sites, paralleling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on religious place rejuvenation since 2014.
Saha mentioned significant national initiatives like the Ayodhya temple’s Ram Lalla consecration and the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor inauguration in Varanasi. He also cited projects such as the Tripura Sundari Temple development and the modernization of the Somnath Temple, emphasizing their neglected past and current attention under the BJP-led government.
The Chief Minister underscored the importance of balancing religious heritage preservation with infrastructure development to uphold cultural traditions and boost tourism. He outlined ongoing efforts to beautify and renovate religious sites like the Shib Bari Water Reservoir and the Kasbeshwari Temple, emphasizing their spiritual significance to the people.
Saha also praised Tripura’s infrastructure advancements and public amenities, attracting tourists and investors. The state’s recent investor summit received overwhelming response, surpassing expectations with investment intentions totaling around Rs 1.21 lakh crore. This progress positions Tripura as a promising destination for development and investment in the Northeast.
