Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the government’s focus on increasing farmers’ incomes to drive village and state progress, ultimately benefiting the nation. Speaking at an event in Agartala, he praised the PM-KISAN scheme for supporting farmers and preventing them from falling into debt during agricultural activities.
Saha mentioned the state’s efforts, under the BJP government since 2018, to uplift farmers economically through various initiatives. These include direct paddy procurement, issuance of Soil Health Cards, and subsidies for agricultural inputs, resulting in enhanced agricultural production and increased farmers’ earnings.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of a peaceful environment for successful development initiatives, noting the rapid progress in the state due to a positive atmosphere. He emphasized the correlation between peaceful states and a developed nation, highlighting the need for conducive surroundings for effective implementation of development projects.
Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath also attended the event.
