Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized the state government’s commitment to fair recruitment practices during a recent event at Pragya Bhavan. He handed out appointment letters to 52 selected candidates for Tripura Fisheries Service Grade-I Fishery Officer positions, highlighting the focus on public welfare in government endeavors. Saha stressed that job opportunities are now based solely on merit and qualifications, eliminating the need for recommendations.
The Chief Minister acknowledged past obstacles in job creation, citing issues like terrorism and poor connectivity in remote areas. However, he noted a positive shift towards a peaceful environment in Tripura, attributing this progress to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on Northeastern development. Saha encouraged the newly appointed officers to continuously enhance their skills and serve with dedication and empathy towards the community.
In addition to government employment, Tripura is prioritizing self-reliance across various sectors, with over 20,000 individuals already securing government jobs in different departments. Saha also highlighted the state’s fisheries sector, currently ranking second in fish production among Northeastern states. He urged for efforts to secure the top position and outlined government initiatives such as reviving water bodies, creating new ponds, and promoting modern fish farming practices.
