Emphasizing the importance of early detection and awareness of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced the launch of the Mukhyamantri Niramay Arogya Abhiyan (MNAA). This initiative aims to provide affordable, quality, and timely healthcare services to the people of Tripura. The Chief Minister described the campaign as a significant step towards a healthier and more conscious state.
The MNAA was inaugurated at Pragna Bhavan by the Chief Minister in collaboration with the Tripura National Health Mission. He highlighted the rising global concern over non-communicable diseases, affecting around 65% of India’s population. The state government’s commitment to providing timely healthcare services was reiterated, with a focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle. Screening efforts in Tripura have seen over 6.80 lakh individuals screened for diabetes and high blood pressure, with thousands diagnosed and brought under treatment.
The Chief Minister also unveiled an AI-based pilot training module on tuberculosis (TB) as part of the state’s modern medical technology adoption. He emphasized the government’s dedication to leveraging technology for human welfare, urging health department staff to actively contribute to the success of these health programs.
