Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Tripura Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen. Sen, a respected leader known for his significant contributions to the state’s progress, passed away in Bengaluru after a prolonged medical treatment. His final rites will be conducted with full state honors in his hometown Dharmanagar on Sunday.
Sen’s mortal remains were brought from Bengaluru to Agartala, where leaders and citizens paid their respects at the Tripura Legislative Assembly premises. Chief Minister Saha, reminiscing about his close bond with Sen, praised the late Speaker for his wisdom, dedication, and leadership qualities.
Recalling the events leading to Sen’s illness, the Chief Minister mentioned Sen’s sudden collapse at Agartala railway station in August, followed by a diagnosis of a brain blood clot that necessitated urgent surgery. Despite a valiant fight for life, Sen eventually succumbed to his condition, leaving a profound void in the hearts of the people of Tripura.
