Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha commended the Union Budget 2026-27 for its focus on enhancing family incomes and improving socio-economic conditions, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Speaking at a press conference in Agartala, he highlighted the budget’s emphasis on infrastructure development, particularly in education, aiming to deliver quality education.
Saha expressed satisfaction with the budget, noting its reflection of the Prime Minister’s roadmap for a developed India by 2047. He appreciated the budget’s attention to infrastructure development, capital expenditure, and connectivity enhancement for future growth. The budget, according to Saha, underscores the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed nation and prioritizes key focus groups like youth, farmers, the poor, and women.
The Chief Minister outlined the budget’s key aspects, including support for farmers to ensure fair prices, strengthening of health services, and significant investments in education and infrastructure. Additionally, the budget focuses on various sectors such as road, railway, aviation, and renewable energy, with a commitment to taxpayer-friendly reforms and defense sector strengthening. Saha emphasized the budget’s pillars of marginalized sections’ development, infrastructure enhancement, and the ethos of inclusive growth.
