Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, stating that it has gained widespread acceptance among the public. Saha expressed immense pride for Tripura as the Prime Minister highlighted the state’s traditional musical instrument, the Chongpreng.
During the 136th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi showcased inspiring initiatives from across India, the country’s sports achievements, and citizens’ efforts in preserving traditional crafts. Saha noted the Prime Minister’s recognition of Suraj Kumar Debbarma’s work in promoting the Chongpreng, bringing honor to both the individual and Tripura.
Saha acknowledged the significance of PM Modi’s mention of Tripura in ‘Mann Ki Baat’, emphasizing the pride it brings to the state. He thanked the Prime Minister for spotlighting Tripura’s cultural heritage nationally, with people eagerly anticipating the program every last Sunday of the month.
The Chief Minister highlighted PM Modi’s trust in the youth to shape India’s future and his unique engagement with citizens through ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Saha also mentioned the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ initiative for stress-free exams and the focus on eliminating single-use plastic, aligning with Tripura’s environmental efforts.
