Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced that the Centre will supply modern medical machines, including 48 AI-enabled portable handheld X-ray devices, to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the state. An MoU was signed between the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Tripura Health Department for the installation of advanced medical equipment.
The equipment, funded by the Prime Minister’s Fund, will include 48 AI-enabled portable handheld X-ray machines, three MRI machines, and three DBT mammography systems. These devices will be placed in district hospitals across Dhalai, North Tripura, and Gomati districts, improving diagnostic services in the state.
Chief Minister Saha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda for their support in upgrading Tripura’s healthcare infrastructure. Additionally, the Union Ministry of AYUSH approved the establishment of the Tripura Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital in Gomati district.
Welcoming this approval, Chief Minister Saha thanked Prime Minister Modi for his support in strengthening healthcare and medical education in Tripura. The new institution is expected to enhance Ayurvedic education, promote Indian medicine, and provide opportunities for students while improving healthcare services in the state.
