President Donald Trump defended recent US military actions against Iran, stating that Iran’s armed forces had been significantly weakened. Speaking at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference, Trump emphasized that his administration had achieved what previous presidents could not.
Trump highlighted that a historic agreement was signed to ensure that Iran would never possess a nuclear weapon. He pointed out the severe damage inflicted on Iran’s military capabilities, mentioning the lack of Navy, Air Force, anti-aircraft capability, radar, and minimal manufacturing.
Additionally, Trump stated that Iran’s drone, missile, and rocket-launching capacities had been drastically reduced. He noted an 82 percent reduction in drone capacity, an 80 percent decrease in missile capacity, and a 90 percent cut in rocket launchers.
Furthermore, Trump mentioned significant losses in Iran’s leadership, stating that their leaders had been killed multiple times. He indicated that Iran was now eager to negotiate with the United States, emphasizing the importance of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Trump also referred to the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani during his first term, attributing responsibility to Soleimani for attacks on American soldiers. He underscored the necessity of preventing a nuclear-armed Iran, highlighting the potential dangers associated with such a scenario.
In his speech, Trump reiterated the strength of the US military and its role in defending American interests and values. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to safeguarding US interests across various domains, including national security, immigration, and the economy.
