TVK Minister Aadhav Arjuna stated that about 90% of AIADMK functionaries and members are willing to switch to TVK, emphasizing that TVK is the future of Tamil Nadu. This announcement was made during an event at the TVK headquarters in Panaiyur, where numerous members from smaller regional and Trade Union groups officially merged with TVK. Over 100 individuals, led by Anna Trade Union president Kamalakannan, joined TVK in the presence of senior leaders, including Minister N. Anand.
Aadhav Arjuna highlighted the significant political shift occurring in Tamil Nadu, noting the growing public trust in the ruling party since it came into power. He praised senior TVK leader K.A. Sengottaiyan, stating that his decision to join the party has been validated. Arjuna also credited leader Vijay for forming the government, following in the footsteps of MGR and Jayalalithaa.
The Minister criticized both DMK and AIADMK for their governance failures and commended Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay for addressing corruption in the state. He defended the coalition government led by TVK, describing it as a diverse secular alliance encompassing parties with varied ideologies. Arjuna questioned the legitimacy of AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s support within the Assembly.
Aadhav Arjuna clarified that TVK has not enticed legislators with incentives, emphasizing that those willing to join the party should do so genuinely. He asserted that TVK follows a welfare-driven political approach akin to M.G. Ramachandran’s principles and predicted a significant political realignment in the near future. Arjuna confidently stated that within a month, 90% of AIADMK members would transition to TVK.
