Two alleged shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, each with a Rs one lakh reward, were fatally shot during a confrontation with a combined team of the Haryana Special Task Force (STF) and the Delhi Police Special Cell near the Balaur bypass in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. A constable sustained severe injuries in the gunfire exchange and was transferred to a higher medical facility for treatment, while four other officers escaped unharmed due to their bulletproof vests.
The encounter occurred following specific intelligence that the two wanted criminals were plotting a major crime in Bahadurgarh. Prompted by this information, units from the Delhi Police Special Cell and the Bahadurgarh STF set up an operation and ambushed the suspects near the Balaur bypass. Upon sighting the police, the suspects allegedly initiated indiscriminate firing, leading to a shootout between the two parties.
Approximately 12 to 13 rounds were discharged during the confrontation before the two suspects were neutralized. The deceased individuals were identified as Pravesh from Tibba Danasher in Hisar district and Himanshu from Jakhod Khera village in Hisar district. Both were allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and had bounties of Rs one lakh each.
The police revealed that the duo were the primary suspects in the recent murder of a gym owner in Hansi and had been on the wanted list for weeks. One police constable sustained severe injuries during the operation and was moved to a higher medical facility after initial treatment. Additionally, four other police personnel were targeted, but their lives were spared as the bullets struck their bulletproof vests.
Haryana STF Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan verified the encounter and stated that the two deceased individuals were wanted in connection with the Hansi gym owner murder case. Senior police officials swiftly arrived at the scene post-operation, securing the area for forensic analysis and further inquiries.
