Two individuals have been apprehended for allegedly gang-raping a woman in a moving van for two hours in Faridabad, Haryana. The incident took place when the victim, seeking a ride home, was deceived by the accused who offered her a lift but diverted towards Gurgaon Road instead. Despite her objections, the culprits assaulted and raped her before abandoning her near SGM Nagar.
An FIR has been lodged following a complaint by the victim’s family, and authorities are scrutinizing CCTV footage to gather evidence. The victim’s sister reported that the victim, after a disagreement at home, had left for a friend’s place and assured her return within three hours. Subsequently, the victim, unable to secure a ride home, accepted a lift from the perpetrators who then subjected her to the horrific ordeal.
The accused, allegedly from Madhya Pradesh and residing in Faridabad, drove around the Faridabad-Gurgaon road for two hours while one of them assaulted the victim. Subsequently, the victim was discarded from the van, sustaining injuries to her face and head, necessitating medical attention. The victim has been transferred to a private hospital in Faridabad for treatment, with doctors recommending further care at AIIMS Delhi due to her condition.
Authorities have taken the accused into custody based on CCTV evidence, and investigations into the matter are ongoing. Further updates on the case are anticipated.
