Kolkata Police apprehended two individuals for allegedly hurling eggs at Trinamool Congress MLA Kunal Ghosh near Mamata Banerjee’s residence in Kalighat, south Kolkata. The arrested suspects, identified as Chandan Kayal and Ravi Kayal, were taken into custody following a complaint lodged by Kunal Ghosh at Kalighat Police Station. The incident occurred after a meeting at Mamata Banerjee’s house, where eggs were thrown at Ghosh as he addressed the media.
Kunal Ghosh condemned the incident as an act of harassment and criticized the police’s response despite security presence at the location. He expressed disappointment in the authorities and demanded swift action against the perpetrators.
