Karnataka Police have apprehended two individuals regarding the tragic suicide of a medical professional in Karwar district. Dr. Raju Pikle, a prominent medicine distributor and Nursing Home owner in Karwar, passed away, leading to the arrest of Subhash and Harischandra from Vailawada village. The arrests are linked to a video that circulated widely and caused public outrage.

The incident transpired when the accused accused Dr. Pikle of providing expired medications, resulting in a confrontation that was recorded and shared on social media. Despite appearing composed in the video, Dr. Pikle faced severe mental distress due to the subsequent online criticism and humiliation. This distress ultimately led to his decision to take his own life.

Dr. Pikle tragically ended his life by shooting himself at a residence in Aversa village. The medical community and the public were deeply shocked by this event. Following the recovery of a suicide note and initial investigations, the two suspects were taken into custody by the police. The authorities are currently conducting further inquiries into the matter.

The video, recorded clandestinely during an argument by relatives of an unidentified patient, emerged approximately 15 days before Dr. Pikle’s death. The fallout from the video significantly impacted both his personal and professional life. Dr. Pikle’s loved ones and colleagues highlighted his struggle to cope with the aftermath of the video’s circulation, which tarnished his reputation and led to his tragic demise.
