Two individuals have been apprehended in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, for aiding foreign terrorists, as per the police statement on Wednesday. The arrests were made in the Singhpora area of the Chatroo district. The suspects are accused of providing shelter and logistical assistance to the Saifullah group.
The Kishtwar police, under FIR No. 03/2026 at Police Station Chatroo, have taken action against the accused. The charges include aiding foreign terrorists and violating various sections of the BNS, UAPA, and Arms Act. One of the arrested individuals, Mashkoor Ahmed, a teacher in the School Education Department, was directly involved in supporting the terrorists’ hideout.
Authorities have emphasized that these arrests have disrupted crucial logistics that were aiding terrorist activities in the region. Another individual, Maneer Ahmed, was also arrested earlier for similar offenses. The investigation is ongoing to dismantle the entire network and ensure that all involved face legal consequences.
