Two separate fire incidents occurred in Delhi, one at a namkeen factory in Dwarka and another at a furniture shop in Mangolpuri early Friday. No casualties were reported in either incident. Fire tenders quickly responded to both locations and successfully controlled the blazes.
In the first incident, a fire broke out at a namkeen manufacturing factory near Dwarka Metro Station. The Delhi Fire Services confirmed that the blaze was contained with no reported casualties. Units returned from the site after the fire call at 0330 hours.
In another incident, a fire erupted at a wooden furniture shop in Mangolpuri’s S Block, causing significant damage. Fire officials managed to bring the blaze under control after extensive efforts. A local resident mentioned that the fire started suddenly at night, damaging the furniture shop.
Earlier this month, a tragic fire in Delhi’s Tughlakabad area claimed three lives. The fire occurred in a five-storey building in Tughlakabad Extension, Govindpuri. Authorities and rescue teams swiftly responded, evacuating trapped residents and transferring them to hospitals. Preliminary investigations suggested an electrical short circuit as a possible cause of the fire.
