Two people lost their lives, and one person sustained injuries when a section of a slab collapsed at an apartment in Hyderabad’s Begumpet area. The tragic incident took place at Methodist Colony in Kundan Bagh, under the Panjagutta Police Station’s jurisdiction. The victims, identified as Devidas (56) and Vivek (32), were electricians working on a project for the flat’s owner, Diwakar Prasad.

The mishap occurred while the electricians were working, and Prasad was on the balcony. Suddenly, the slab gave way, causing all three individuals to fall and get injured. Sadly, Devidas and Vivek succumbed to their injuries on the spot, while Prasad was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The bodies of the deceased were moved to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examinations.

In a separate incident in Telangana’s Khammam district, a 70-year-old man, Venkatrami Reddy, was found dead by hanging in Yerrupalem, leading to decapitation. The police revealed that financial troubles prompted the extreme step. Reddy, a resident of Banigandlapadu village, leaves behind his wife and daughter. Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district, a couple and a child suffered severe burn injuries after a motorcycle caught fire during refueling at a village shop in Gonabavi.

Police investigations are ongoing in all these incidents to ascertain the details and circumstances.
