Two men tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Chhattisgarh’s Durg district. The incident occurred when the driver lost control of the car, hitting a road divider before colliding with a tree.
The victims have been identified as Deepak and his friend Kaushik. They were driving from Sector 8 towards Globe Chowk when the car, allegedly speeding, veered out of control and crashed.
Reports indicate that the car first hit a road divider and then slammed into a tree. The impact of the accident was so severe that both Deepak, the driver, and Kaushik, his passenger, died at the scene.
Local residents alerted the police about the accident, leading to the bodies being taken to Supela Mortuary for post-mortem examination. It is believed that the victims were intoxicated at the time of the crash.
In another recent incident on the Durg-Raipur National Highway-53, a family of five met with a tragic accident. Four family members, including two sisters and two young children, lost their lives when their scooter collided with a stationary tractor loaded with oxygen cylinders.
The deceased were identified as Amrita Nirmalkar, her sister Lakshmi Nirmalkar, and Amrita’s daughters Yachna and Dali. Amrita’s son Bhavesh, who was also on the scooter, sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at AIIMS Raipur.
The accident, which occurred near Kumhari police station, resulted in the immediate deaths of the two women and two girls. Amrita’s husband, Lokesh Nirmalkar, shared that the family had recently celebrated Yachna’s birthday, making the loss even more heartbreaking.
