The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the successful interception and destruction of a new wave of Iranian missiles aimed at the country. The operation was carried out efficiently without any damage, with the UAE’s air defence systems intercepting the missiles. Debris from the intercepted missiles fell in various areas of Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island and Khalifa City.
The Ministry emphasized its readiness to address threats and protect the country’s security and stability. It condemned the missile targeting as a violation of national sovereignty and international law. The safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains a top priority for the UAE.
Earlier in the day, the UAE’s Ministry of Defence reported a “brazen attack” with Iranian ballistic missiles. The UAE air defences successfully intercepted several missiles, maintaining control of the security situation in the country. However, debris falling in a residential area in Abu Dhabi caused material damage and led to the death of an individual of Asian nationality.
The Ministry reiterated its condemnation of the attack, emphasizing the rejection of targeting civilian facilities and institutions. It described the attack as a dangerous escalation that threatens civilian safety and stability. The UAE asserted its right to respond to the escalation and protect its people and lands.
