The UAE’s Ministry of Defence announced that it successfully intercepted three ballistic missiles and detected 129 drones, with most being intercepted. Since the beginning of the Iranian attack, a total of 189 ballistic missiles were detected, with the majority destroyed. Additionally, 941 Iranian drones were detected, of which 876 were intercepted.
The attacks resulted in casualties from various nationalities and caused minor to moderate material damage in some civilian facilities. The Ministry of Defence condemned the attacks as a violation of national sovereignty and international law, affirming the UAE’s right to respond and protect its territory and people.
The ministry emphasized its readiness to address any threats and safeguard the country’s security and stability. It urged the public to rely on official sources for information and avoid spreading unverified details. The conflict in West Asia escalated following US-Israel strikes on Iran, leading to retaliatory actions and heightened tensions in the region.
