Top professional Udayan Mane dominated the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) Invitational South Africa, securing a seven-shot victory over Gaganjeet Bhullar at Royal Johannesburg West. Mane, who held a share of the lead throughout, recovered from early setbacks in the final round with seven birdies to finish at 20-under, marking the best aggregate of the season so far.
This triumph follows Mane’s third-place finish in Mauritius, showcasing a strong return to form. Mane’s victory, with a margin of seven shots, makes him the third different winner this season, ending his title drought since 2021.
Starting the final day with a comfortable lead, Mane showcased resilience by securing crucial birdies to maintain his dominance. Notable performances included Shaurya Binu’s impressive 63 and veteran Shiv Kapur’s solid 64, propelling them to tied fourth. The event also saw South Africa’s Musiwalo Nethunzwi as the top local finisher in sixth place.
In the individual rankings, Bhullar leads followed by Sachin Baisoya, with Mane now in third position after his recent victory. The team standings witnessed Atri Mumbai rising to the top, propelled by Mane’s stellar performance, while Green Fuels Vizag and Honer Homes Gurugram made notable shifts in the rankings. The tournament now heads to Congo for the next leg of the series.
