The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) have partnered to establish a structured, five-year collaboration focusing on digital forensics, cybersecurity, and advanced technology research. This collaboration will encompass various strategic pillars including academic and professional development, information security, forensic infrastructure, technical support for cyber security activities, research in emerging areas like AI and blockchain, and strategic placement opportunities for NFSU students.
The memorandum of understanding between UIDAI and NFSU aims to enhance cyber resilience across UIDAI’s digital infrastructure, crucial for India’s digital identity ecosystem. Vivek Chandra Verma, CEO of UIDAI, emphasized that this partnership is a significant move towards bolstering security, resilience, and forensic capabilities supporting India’s digital public infrastructure.
The MoU ceremony witnessed the presence of Abhishek Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General of UIDAI, along with senior officials from both organizations. In a recent development, UIDAI collaborated with MapmyIndia to facilitate the display of authorized Aadhaar centers on the Mappls App, enhancing convenience for residents seeking Aadhaar services.
MapmyIndia will integrate UIDAI-provided Aadhaar Centre information into the Mappls platform, ensuring accurate representation and distinct listing of these centers. This initiative follows UIDAI’s partnership with Google to display authorized Aadhaar centers on Google Maps, providing residents with information on center accessibility and facilities, further improving user convenience.
