Kanishka Narayan, the UK’s AI Minister, was warmly welcomed in Patna on Saturday during his visit to Bihar after more than two decades. Sanjay Kumar Jha, JD(U) MP, greeted the minister at his residence and emphasized the visit’s importance for the state’s technological progress.
Jha mentioned that Narayan, being from Bihar and serving as a minister in the UK’s AI department, is well-versed in global technological matters. He highlighted Bihar’s strides in technology, aligning with the global pace of advancements.

Earlier, at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Narayan underscored the significance of ongoing discussions. He highlighted the mutual understanding and strategic alignment between the UK and India in regulating and deploying AI responsibly.
