Unicef India Representative Cynthia McCaffrey held discussions with Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas at the Government Secretariat in Jaipur. The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in crucial sectors such as health, women and child development, nutrition, education, and child rights protection.
During the interaction, the Chief Secretary emphasized the state government’s efforts towards achieving the vision of a “Developed Rajasthan” led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Notably, initiatives like the National Health Mission and Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana are playing significant roles in improving healthcare services and health indicators in the state.
Additional Chief Secretary (School Education) Rajesh Yadav highlighted various innovative projects supported by Unicef to boost the quality of education, including initiatives promoting multilingual learning.
Additional Chief Secretary (Higher Education) Kuldeep Ranka discussed the importance of the “Yuva Setu” program, backed by Unicef, in empowering youth through leadership development and skill enhancement.
