Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan engaged with France’s Special Envoy for Artificial Intelligence, Anne Bouverot, at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. They discussed enhancing cooperation in emerging technologies and research. Pradhan expressed satisfaction in meeting the French envoy during the summit in the national capital.
Pradhan highlighted the importance of fostering human-centric, responsible, and inclusive AI frameworks for global progress. He underscored the mutual commitment of India and France to developing ethical and trustworthy artificial intelligence for societal advancement. The minister stressed the significance of knowledge in strengthening the bond between the two nations, anticipating that academic and scientific collaborations would further boost bilateral ties in education, research, and innovation.
During the summit, Pradhan emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to democratize AI and drive advanced research for sustainable development and global stability. The India AI summit, hosting representatives from over 110 countries and 30 international organizations, including heads of state and ministers, aims to align AI initiatives with India’s vision of welfare for all and the global principle of AI for Humanity. This event marks the fourth edition of the India AI Impact Summit series, following previous editions in the UK, South Korea, and France, providing a platform for global leaders to discuss AI’s ethical, economic, and social implications while strengthening partnerships in digital technology, culture, tourism, and maritime cooperation.
