Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited Nandigram in West Bengal to meet dedicated Bharatiya Janata Party workers in the constituency represented by senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. Pradhan emphasized that Nandigram symbolizes the spirit of change in the state, expressing confidence in the local people’s support for the BJP and Suvendu Adhikari’s leadership.
Pradhan commended the enthusiasm, discipline, and commitment of the party workers, foreseeing a resurgence of the BJP in Nandigram during the upcoming elections. Nandigram, known for past land acquisition protests and recent political contests, remains a crucial battleground in West Bengal’s politics as the 2026 Assembly elections draw near.
As political activities intensify in the region with both major parties focusing on strategies, Pradhan’s visit aims to bolster the BJP’s presence across West Bengal. With Suvendu Adhikari contesting from Nandigram and Bhabanipur in Kolkata, directly challenging the ruling Trinamool Congress, the political landscape in the state is becoming more competitive.
Pradhan’s message to the workers emphasized unity and determination, urging them to engage with the people actively. His visit signifies the BJP’s concerted efforts to expand its influence in West Bengal, resonating with local leaders and workers who pledge full support for the party’s developmental agenda.
