Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has enlisted professors and technical experts from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur to assist CBSE in ensuring a smooth re-evaluation process. This decision follows concerns raised by students and parents about the CBSE post-result services portal facing technical issues, leading to deadline extensions for revaluation applications. Pradhan acknowledged challenges in the new On-Screen Marking system, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to address shortcomings and improve the system.
The expert teams from IITs will focus on enhancing technological aspects of the systems, including portal stability, server performance, and IT infrastructure robustness. They will also work on improving login authentication, user access systems, and payment gateways to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Pradhan emphasized the importance of prioritizing student interests and implementing necessary corrective measures promptly to establish a transparent and student-friendly evaluation system.
Pradhan defended the On-Screen Marking system, highlighting its advantages of ensuring error-free, scientific, and consistent assessment in Board exams. He pointed out the need to address disparities in marking between students from urban and rural backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of fair evaluation practices.
