Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda described his meeting with two Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) members as positive. The representatives visited Nadda at his residence and presented a written memorandum outlining the group’s three demands. The demands included the release of social activist Sonam Wangchuk, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and compensation for families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide.

The first meeting between Nadda and the CJP delegation occurred around 11:50 a.m. The group verbally presented their demands, which Nadda requested in writing. Later in the day, the delegation returned with a written memorandum detailing their requests. Despite the discussions, no assurances were given by Nadda regarding the demands presented by the CJP representatives.

Following the meeting, Nadda urged the protesters to end their month-long sit-in at Jantar Mantar and cooperate with authorities to restore normalcy. The CJP delegation, represented by Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, approached the government seeking talks. The protesters persisted at Jantar Mantar, continuing their demonstration after clashes with security forces during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ March.

The Delhi Police intensified their investigation into the violence that occurred during the protests. They are analyzing over 250 videos, including mobile phone recordings and CCTV footage, to identify those involved in the unrest. An FIR has been registered at the Connaught Place police station in connection with the reported commotion and vandalism.
