Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda visited Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital and Lady Hardinge Hospital to meet protesters injured during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march in Delhi related to the NEET-UG paper leak. Nadda inquired about the health of the injured individuals and held discussions with doctors at RML Hospital regarding their condition.

The visit followed violent clashes that occurred as supporters of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and students marched towards Parliament, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over examination irregularities, including the NEET-UG paper leaks. Representatives of the CJP met Nadda at his residence and presented a memorandum outlining their demands.

Nadda, when asked about the meeting with CJP members, mentioned that it went well but did not elaborate on the assurances given to the protestors. The CJP delegation demanded the release of social activist Sonam Wangchuk, the resignation of the Education Minister, and compensation for families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide.

Government sources stated that Nadda did not provide assurances on the demands during the meeting. However, he urged the protesters to end their sit-in at Jantar Mantar and cooperate in restoring normalcy near Parliament. Nadda described the discussions with the CJP as cordial and confirmed the submission of a written petition by the delegation.

Demonstrators continued their protest at Jantar Mantar despite confrontations with the police. Following a call from the CJP, protesters reoccupied the area after police intervention. Security forces remained deployed at the location to ensure order.
