Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Rajasthan government for enhancing law and order in the state. He acknowledged Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for putting an end to the malpractice of paper leaks in police job exams. Shah highlighted that the government has reduced the overall crime rate by 14%, with significant declines in dacoities, loots, murders, and crimes against women and SC/ST communities.
Shah commended Chief Minister Sharma for overseeing the transparent and merit-based recruitment of nearly 9,000 Rajasthan Police Constables, including over 2,500 women. He emphasized the importance of promoting youth based on merit for the state’s progress. Shah also encouraged the new recruits to leverage the new criminal laws introduced under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for swift justice.
Furthermore, Shah urged citizens to support ‘Make in India’ products as a means to achieve self-reliance and economic growth. Speaking at the ‘Maheshwari Global Convention and Expo-2026’ in Jodhpur, he emphasized the significance of using indigenous products for national advancement. Shah praised the Maheshwari community for its deep-rooted connections and historical contributions to the country’s development, including support during the Independence struggle.
