The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, pledged to rejuvenate West Bengal’s lost industrial prosperity during a virtual event in Howrah district. Shah criticized the previous state government for deterring industrialists and investors, leading to the decline of the state’s industrial and cultural heritage. He assured that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is committed to fostering West Bengal’s development.
Shah highlighted the significance of a newly inaugurated curd factory, linking it to the BJP’s recent triumph in the state elections. He described the factory as a significant industrial initiative post the party’s victory, symbolizing progress and prosperity. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari emphasized the economic benefits the factory would bring to around 36 lakh cowherds through milk sales.
Adhikari stressed the importance of a robust cooperative system for strengthening the state’s economic foundation. He criticized the previous administration for neglecting to engage local cowherds in such initiatives, emphasizing the need for tangible industrial progress over mere data presentation.
