Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Jitan Ram Manjhi recently revealed statues of his parents and ancestors at his family home in Mahkar village, Bihar. During the emotional ceremony, Manjhi paid tribute to his family members, expressing gratitude for their support and sacrifices. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including his son, Bihar Minister Santosh Kumar Suman, and local residents.
Manjhi emphasized the pivotal role parents play in a person’s life, equating them to a form of God. He credited his parents for their hard work and dedication in providing him with educational opportunities. Reflecting on his political journey, Manjhi acknowledged the influence and support of his family in his career milestones, from serving as Bihar’s Chief Minister to becoming a Union Minister.
The statues were installed to honor the memory of Manjhi’s parents, ancestors, and younger brother, serving as a source of inspiration for future generations. Speaking to the media post-ceremony, Manjhi expressed confidence in the National Democratic Alliance’s victory in the upcoming Bankipur Assembly by-election. He also addressed the drought situation in South Bihar, outlining plans for a water diversion project to alleviate water scarcity in the region.
