Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, engaged in discussions with Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxim Ryzhenkov, during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Kyrgyzstan’s Cholpon Ata. The meeting focused on reviewing bilateral cooperation progress and addressing regional and global issues.
Singh also held a meeting with Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zheenbek Kulubaev, to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors. Discussions emphasized enhancing the India–Kyrgyz Republic Strategic Partnership and exploring avenues for further collaboration.
Arriving in Bishkek for the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, Singh expressed anticipation for productive discussions on significant regional and global matters within the SCO framework. The ongoing meeting in Cholpon-Ata aims to assess advancements in key areas of SCO cooperation and deliberate on regional and international issues of importance.
The SCO Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting serves as a preparatory event for the upcoming SCO Leadership Summit in Bishkek. Foreign Ministers will evaluate progress in SCO cooperation areas, exchange views on regional and international affairs, and finalize documents for consideration at the Summit.
