Amid various Iftar gatherings in Bihar, a significant event took place at Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) Chief Jitan Ram Manjhi’s residence in Patna. The gathering was graced by several NDA leaders, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, his son Nishant Kumar, and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. Manjhi hinted at Samrat Choudhary as a potential Chief Minister candidate, suggesting Nitish Kumar’s preference for him.
Manjhi highlighted Nitish Kumar’s leadership style, mentioning his transparency and subtle communication of intentions. He praised Nishant Kumar’s qualities essential for leadership, noting his patience and respectfulness as positive attributes for someone new to politics. The tradition of hosting Iftar gatherings at Manjhi’s residence for almost a decade was emphasized as a way to promote peace, prosperity, and harmony.
The Iftar event aimed to continue the tradition, especially towards the end of the Ramzan observance period. When asked about the absence of an Iftar gathering at Lalu Prasad Yadav’s residence, Manjhi stated it was a personal choice. The event reflects the ongoing political activity in Bihar, where such gatherings serve as platforms for social engagement and political messaging.
