Shekhawat, while inspecting arrangements for Shekhawat’s statue unveiling in Jodhpur on May 14, expressed the deep admiration that Rajasthan residents hold for the veteran leader. The life-size statue is expected to serve as an inspiration for future generations, promoting democratic principles and public service ethics.
Describing Bhairon Singh Shekhawat as not just a BJP figure but a leader who transcended party lines, Shekhawat emphasized his broad influence on politicians from various backgrounds. He stressed the importance of public representatives engaging with citizens, addressing their concerns, and delivering solutions effectively.
The Union Minister underscored that Shekhawat’s life exemplified the role of politics in serving society rather than just seeking power. He envisioned the statue as a perpetual symbol of dedication to public service, simplicity, and democratic values.
Shekhawat revealed that the unveiling ceremony in Jodhpur would witness the presence of prominent leaders such as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and BJP Rajasthan President Madan Rathore. Additionally, he mentioned conducting a public hearing and highlighted the significance of national figures’ birth anniversaries in motivating people towards nation-building efforts.
