Union Minister Piyush Goyal labeled the recent Pahalgam terror incident as a “wake-up call” for the nation, emphasizing the need for vigilance against terrorism. Goyal stressed the importance of citizens staying alert, reporting suspicious activities, and avoiding spreading rumors to combat the threat effectively.
Goyal highlighted that security is a collective responsibility shared by every member of society. He urged citizens to be vigilant and report any unusual activities in their surroundings promptly. Referring to the Pahalgam attack, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s response through Operation Sindoor, terming it as a fitting reply to the incident.
The Union Minister expressed confidence in the government’s ability to tackle terrorism by uniting the country against this menace. He criticized the Congress party for alleged derogatory remarks against PM Modi, attributing it to a mindset prevalent within the party leadership. Goyal accused certain political parties of promoting dynasty politics and neglecting broader democratic principles.
Goyal also commented on the political scenario in West Bengal, criticizing the current administration under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He alleged a lack of development, safety concerns for women, and administrative challenges due to illegal infiltrators in the state. Goyal predicted a significant victory for the BJP in the upcoming elections, asserting that the defeat of the ruling Trinamool Congress would have long-lasting implications.
The Union Minister condemned the sheltering of illegal infiltrators for political gains, stating that such actions would not be tolerated by the Indian populace. He predicted electoral success for the BJP in both West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, citing issues of corruption, drug abuse, and lawlessness as factors driving the voters towards the NDA government.
