Responding to the alleged assault and stripping of a BJP woman worker in Hubballi, Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi criticized Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for what he termed as “dadagiri” or hooliganism. Joshi expressed strong disapproval of the incident during a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Bengaluru, calling it shameful.
Joshi took issue with Siddaramaiah’s response to the incident, stating that the Chief Minister should have focused on ensuring an inquiry rather than making unnecessary remarks. He accused the Congress-led government of biased actions similar to those in the past, questioning the police’s conduct during the incident.
The Union Minister raised concerns about the handling of the woman worker at the police station and demanded a fair investigation. Joshi warned of potential political changes and vowed that the BJP would take action against those who acted against the law in the state. He also criticized the Karnataka government’s alleged financial support to the National Herald, highlighting controversies surrounding the issue.
