Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, highlighted the current opportune moment for young individuals to enter the workforce in India. He emphasized India’s recognition as a stable growth engine with improving fundamentals under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Puri mentioned that over 11 lakh qualified candidates received appointment letters nationwide through Rozgar Melas, with 61,000 letters distributed during the recent event.
Puri expressed that amidst global challenges like conflict and technology disruptions, India stands out as a stable growth hub. He encouraged inspired and aspirational young people to seize the opportunity to contribute to the workforce. The minister personally handed over appointment letters to 25 selected candidates out of a total of 107 during the event held in Chandigarh.
Reflecting on his own career entry in 1974, Puri contrasted India’s past limited resources with the current economic landscape. He noted the significant growth in India’s economy, now measured in trillions, with stronger institutions and deeper markets. Puri emphasized the shift from managing scarcity to building capability swiftly and with integrity in the present scenario.
