Union Minister of State Raksha Khadse led a district-level review meeting in Assam’s Hojai organized by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) to evaluate the progress of Central Sector Schemes and Centrally-Sponsored Schemes. The meeting focused on various sectors like health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, financial inclusion, skill development, and basic service delivery.
During the session, Minister Khadse assessed the performance of different sectors and engaged with district officials and stakeholders to grasp the challenges and opportunities at the grassroots level. She addressed their concerns, offered guidance, and pledged full support from the Government of India to promptly address key issues affecting service delivery and development outcomes.
Emphasizing the significance of provisions in the Union Budget for Assam and the North Eastern Region, Minister Khadse highlighted their role in enhancing infrastructure, livelihoods, and social services. She commended the district administration for their effective project management, timely project completions, and successful target achievements under various schemes.
The meeting underscored the importance of enhancing implementation mechanisms, fostering convergence among schemes, and expediting comprehensive and inclusive development in the district. The review gathering was attended by Hojai District Commissioner Bidyut Bilash Bhagwati, alongside senior officials from the district administration and line departments.
