Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, revealed plans to extend 4G network connectivity to rural areas across India by June this year. With over 120 crore mobile users in the country, the comprehensive 4G coverage aims to bolster Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Digital India’ initiative.
During an event in Shivpuri district, under the Guna Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Scindia emphasized the significant progress India is experiencing under PM Modi’s leadership. He assured that by June 2026, every village in the country would have access to 4G network services.
In a notable development, Minister Scindia inaugurated a sub-post office in the Badarwas area of Guna, encouraging residents to utilize the modern facilities for banking services. He highlighted the importance of post offices in ensuring pension, subsidies, and savings for rural communities, thereby contributing to the vision of a self-reliant and digitally connected rural India.
Union Minister Scindia also shared details about recent agreements signed between the India Post Department and the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. These agreements focus on enhancing economic opportunities in rural India, particularly for women and farmers, through initiatives like real-time monitoring of fertilizers and promoting women’s economic empowerment.
