Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced significant progress in improving railway connectivity in Ashoknagar and Kolaras, Madhya Pradesh. The stoppage of Sogaria-Danapur Express at Ashoknagar and Ujjaini Express at Kolaras, both falling under the Guna Lok Sabha constituency represented by BJP MP Scindia, has been approved by the Union Railway Ministry. This decision aims to enhance travel convenience for passengers in the region, connecting them to various parts of the country.

The approval for these stoppages came after Union Minister Scindia’s recommendation to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on February 26, 2026. This move is expected to benefit daily commuters, students, and businessmen, while also boosting regional transportation and economic activities. Expressing gratitude for this development, Union Minister Scindia emphasized the government’s focus on public convenience and collaborative efforts across ministries.

Union Minister Scindia expressed appreciation to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the improved connectivity in Ashoknagar and Kolaras, stating that it will greatly benefit travelers in the region. Additionally, he announced plans for a four-day visit to Gwalior and Guna, where he will participate in various events and engage with the local community.
