UP Prometheans and Rajasthan Regals emerged as the top two teams after round five of the PGTI’s 72 The League, securing their spots in the Final set for January 6 at Qutab Golf Course in New Delhi. The UP team garnered 45 points, while Rajasthan followed closely with 43 points at the Classic Golf & Country Club in Nuh, Haryana.
Rajasthan and Charminar Champions tied at 43 points after round five, with Rajasthan advancing based on their previous margin of victory. Consequently, Charminar Champions claimed the third spot, with Nava Raipur, Mumbai Aces, and Kolkata Classics finishing fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.
In the upcoming final on Friday, UP Prometheans will compete against Rajasthan Regals, while the teams ranking from third to sixth will battle for the Plate Championship on the same day at Qutab Golf Course. During their recent encounter, UP triumphed over Rajasthan with a 10-4 score. Notably, UP secured victories in three out of five matches, with standout performances from players like Shaurya Bhattacharya and Arjun Prasad.
