The trailer for director Arun Matheswaran’s film ‘DC’, starring director Lokesh Kanakaraj, will debut at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15. Sun Pictures, the film’s producer, shared the news on social media, creating anticipation among fans and movie enthusiasts. This movie marks Lokesh Kanakaraj’s acting debut, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.
A special promo released on Valentine’s Day revealed that Lokesh Kanakaraj portrays a character named Devadas in the film, with Wamiqa Gabbi as Chandra and Sanjana A K as Parvathi. The promo hinted at a gangster drama theme, similar to the title teaser released earlier. It showcased intense scenes, including Devadas and Chandra in critical situations, building intrigue around the characters and storyline.
Scheduled for release this year, the film boasts dialogues by Arun Matheswaran and Franklin Jacob, with additional screenplay by Arun Ranjan. Anirudh has composed the music, Mukesh G handled cinematography, G K Prasanna managed editing, and Kannan S oversaw art direction. Lokesh Kanakaraj’s martial arts training in Thailand for this project, following his work on ‘Coolie’ with Rajinikanth, adds a unique element to the film.
