US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to visit Jaipur on Monday as part of his India tour. This will mark Rubio’s first visit to Jaipur. Rubio is expected to arrive in Jaipur at around 2 p.m. and depart at 6.30 a.m. on May 26.
During his visit, Rubio plans to tour Amer Fort, where Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari will welcome him. The welcome ceremony at Amer Fort is set to include a ceremonial reception at Jaleb Chowk, featuring Rajasthan’s traditional heritage and cultural performances.
In anticipation of the high-profile visit, Jaipur’s district administration, police, and security agencies are on high alert. Security measures include inspections of travel routes, event venues, and accommodation facilities. Additionally, a detailed traffic and crowd management plan is being developed to ensure a smooth visit.
Civic agencies in Jaipur are enhancing cleanliness, lighting, and beautification efforts at major tourist sites like Amer Palace ahead of Rubio’s visit. Rubio’s India tour from May 23 to 26 covers Kolkata, Agra, Jaipur, and New Delhi, focusing on strengthening cooperation between India and the United States in various areas.
Officials are coordinating to ensure seamless arrangements and prevent disruptions during Rubio’s visit to Jaipur. Last year, US Vice President J.D. Vance visited Jaipur with his family, touring tourist attractions and addressing an event in the city.
