They emphasized the importance of creating an environment where small businesses can thrive, create jobs, and pass on opportunities to future generations.
Anne Shybunko-Moore, CEO of New York defense manufacturer GSE Dynamics, urged policymakers to bolster domestic manufacturing through investment incentives, workforce development, and reliable supply chains. She stressed the significance of enhancing workforce training and attracting young talent to the manufacturing sector.
Maryland entrepreneur Veronica Kuhl, who immigrated from the Dominican Republic, shared her journey of pursuing the American dream. She emphasized the necessity of a stable operating environment for entrepreneurs, calling on Congress to streamline regulations, support workforce development, and embrace new technologies to foster business growth.
The hearing, held ahead of the July 4 celebrations marking 250 years since the US declared independence, aims to explore the role of entrepreneurship in the nation’s economic progress.
