Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to conduct weekly ‘Chaupals’ at every development block to address public grievances promptly. These sessions aim to resolve issues like revenue disputes, domestic violence, and police complaints that often go unaddressed locally. Eligible individuals will also gain access to government schemes through these Chaupals.
During a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to timely and transparent grievance resolution. He instructed officials to follow a detailed Standard Operating Procedure for these sessions and ensure the efficient handling of all complaints. District-level officials’ presence at the Chaupals is now mandatory.
Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of providing tangible relief to complainants, not just closing cases formally. He also issued directives regarding upcoming festivals like Ganga Dussehra and Bakrid, emphasizing regulations on animal sacrifices and waste disposal. The Chief Minister highlighted the need for proper security measures during the festive period, including flag marches and police patrolling in sensitive areas.
