Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has embarked on a significant foreign visit to Germany and the UK with the goal of attracting global investments and promoting the state as a key economic hub. Maurya expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assigning him this crucial task, considering it a pivotal step in Uttar Pradesh’s journey towards contributing significantly to India’s trillion-dollar economy.
Deputy CM Maurya highlighted that Prime Minister Modi’s confidence underscores Uttar Pradesh’s economic growth and its evolving role in India’s trillion-dollar economy objective. He emphasized the state’s potential to become a major economic center, drawing interest from both national and international investors with the Prime Minister’s guidance.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation, Deputy CM Maurya is leading the visit to Germany and the UK to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s investment opportunities. The delegation comprises officials from the Information Technology (IT) and Electronics Department, as well as the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department.
The visit, organized by ‘Invest UP’, will include various activities such as investor conferences, B2B meetings, and sector-specific presentations to highlight investment prospects in infrastructure, IT, electronics manufacturing, defense production, aerospace, food processing, MSMEs, start-ups, and green technology. The delegation’s itinerary includes Germany from February 23 to 25, 2026, and the UK from February 25 to 27.
Deputy Chief Minister Maurya stressed that Uttar Pradesh’s enhanced law and order situation, transparent policies, modern infrastructure, and business-friendly environment have bolstered global investor confidence. He anticipates that the foreign visit will attract substantial investments, technology transfers, and create new job opportunities for the youth.
Maurya reiterated the state government’s commitment to elevating Uttar Pradesh to a trillion-dollar economy, emphasizing the crucial role of international cooperation and investments in this endeavor. Through this foreign tour, the Uttar Pradesh government aims to showcase its industrial corridors, expressway network, defense corridors, and emerging industrial clusters on a global platform.
