Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak, expressed confidence in the BJP’s success in the ongoing West Bengal Assembly elections, emphasizing broad support for the party’s agenda beyond caste and religion. Voter turnout in the second phase of polling in West Bengal reached 18.39% by 9 A.M., covering 142 constituencies across six districts, including Kolkata.

Authorities heightened security measures in response to minor disturbances at certain polling stations, ensuring a peaceful voting process. The second phase of elections is crucial, with significant constituencies at stake, prompting close monitoring of voter participation throughout the day.

In a separate event, Brajesh Pathak highlighted the inauguration of the Ganga Expressway in Hardoi, underscoring its role in advancing economic growth. The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the 594-kilometre-long expressway, a key infrastructure project connecting multiple districts in Uttar Pradesh, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and economic development.
