In a significant administrative move, the Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has transferred 182 Provincial Civil Services (PCS) officers across the state. The reshuffle, announced late on Sunday night, involves the reassignment of Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and other administrative officers to new roles immediately. The state administration has issued an official transfer list instructing the officers to assume their new responsibilities promptly.

The transfer order includes the reassignment of PCS officer Pushparnath Chaudhary, previously SDM in Amroha, as the new SDM in Unnao. Lovleet Kaur, formerly SDM in Hathras, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Greater Noida Authority. Among other key transfers, Mithlesh Kumar Tiwari has been moved from Rae Bareli to serve as SDM in Mainpuri. Gopal Sharma, who was SDM in Mainpuri, has been reassigned as Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Bareilly.

Pratibha Mishra, who was stationed in Varanasi, has been designated as SDM in Kanpur Dehat. Simultaneously, Shubham Yadav, previously SDM in Unnao, has been tasked with the responsibilities of SDM in Bulandshahr. The government has also transferred Pushpendra Patel, former SDM in Ghazipur, to Ambedkar Nagar in the same capacity. Surabhi Sharma has been appointed as Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Baghpat.

Additionally, Avadhesh Kumar Nigam, previously SDM in Deoria, has been reassigned as SDM in Firozabad. PCS officer Veer Singh (2020 batch), serving as Assistant Municipal Commissioner in Aligarh, has been appointed as SDM in Rae Bareli. Pragya Pandey, formerly SDM of Hasanganj tehsil in Unnao, has been reassigned as SDM in Barabanki. The transfer list has been circulated to all relevant departments, with officers instructed to assume their new roles promptly.

This reshuffle marks one of the largest administrative reorganizations by the Yogi Adityanath government in recent months, aiming to revamp district-level governance in Uttar Pradesh by placing officers in new administrative capacities.
